the product of generations of nurturing

There are mainly three types of egg farms in Japan.
The first type is breeding farms, where eggs’ grandparent chickens are raised.
The second type is incubation farms, where chicks are incubated in fertilized eggs produced at the farm.
The third type is chicken farms, where chicks are raised to be healthy and sound to produce eggs.
At each farm where three generations of chicken are involved, including the egg-laying hens and their parents, salmonella tests are conducted repeatedly and chickens are vaccinated appropriately.

Across the Board Biosecurity

It is recommended that egg farms in Japan be located at least 1,000 meters away from other farms and at least 300 meters away from roads.
Chicken coop hygiene management is thorough.
Measures are implemented to keep out potential threats: wild birds, small animals, insects; and entry by outsiders are prohibited.
Workers change into their work clothes in a changing room each time they enter and leave a chicken coop, also being sure to disinfect their hands.
These measures all help prevent exposure to salmonella and avian iffluenza.

Japanese Eggs(TAMAGO) can be eaten raw for up to three weeks

Japanese Eggs(TAMAGO) have a shelf life of 21 days, starting from the date the egg is produced.
People from outside Japan probably think that this is a short period, however, this is actually the period during which the eggs can be eaten raw.
It is normal to eat eggs raw in Japan; for example, tamago kake gohan dish, raw egg mixed with soy sauce placed on top of warm rice; and sukiyaki dish, raw egg mixed together with meat and vegetables.
This is made possible because we are dedicated to make Japanese eggs(TAMAGO) safe.
