Gyunegi-don is a meal arranged with gyu-don (bowl of rice topped with cooked beef) as its original, which is the most popular donburi (bowl of rice) menu. It is grilled, not cooked with soup. The simple flavor enhances the deliciousness of beef, and the texture of green onion also adds a good kick. To our surprise, this menu was originally a staff meal at Japanese Black Beef restaurant Gyumasa, a popular restaurant in Miyagi in Tohoku region.
